DESCRIPTION:Interactive Tour +Seasonal Plant or Farming Lesson\nOur weekly Open Farm Day is your chance to experience the Blackwood Skyfarm at POST Houston for after-school/after-work education each and every week. Each Open Farm Day begins with an interactive tour of the Skyfarm followed by seasonal plant or farming lesson. \nOpen Farm Days at the Skyfarm are weekly on Wednesdays\, year-round. Every Wednesday\, 4:30 – 6:30 pm. Free and open to all\, with RSVP required to communicate on special instructions. \nEach week alternates between a Seasonal Plant Lesson or Community Farm lesson: \n\nSeasonal Plant Lessons are hands-on sessions where you will learn the benefits of various plants and how to utilize their benefits within your own garden and kitchen.\nCommunity Farm Lessons are also hands-on experiential learning sessions where you become an urban farmer for the day\, picking up tips on how to start and nurture your own home\, school\, or community garden.\nExamples of past lessons include: Spring Herbal Tea Plant Lesson\, Companion Planting Farm Lesson\, Alliums in Houston Plant Lesson\, etc.\n\nCheck our Instagram for weekly class updates!
