About Blackwood
From Land to Sky
Blackwood’s Skyfarmers Market launched on the rooftop of POST Houston in November 2023. The Skyfarm, the physical location where the market started, is the largest rooftop farm in Texas and was first planted in May 2022. The market can still be found on the rooftop during certain times of the year, and otherwise on the first floor of POST.
Blackwood Educational Land Institute is a teaching and regenerative farm, modeling the role of natural food systems by co-creating better ways to grow and source food. With two locations, the Landfarm in Hempstead, TX and the Skyfarm in the center of Downtown Houston we are able to reach more people and connect them to food and soil.
